DF LAT New Version v2.0.0 Released!

DeepForest Technologies Co., Ltd. has released a major update (version 2.0.0) of DF LAT, our point cloud processing software.
Main updates in this release
■ TIN-based DTM creation / Real-time TIN display
The DTM creation method has been changed to a TIN interpolation method, which builds a TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network) from the ground points and rasterizes it. Unlike the previous interpolation method for ground points, this approach represents fine topographic variations — such as cliffs, slopes, level differences, and the shoulders of forest work roads — far more clearly.
In addition, the Pro version now includes a view that builds and displays a TIN in real time. Because the results of ground detection and point cloud editing can be checked as terrain before exporting them to a DTM file, reviewing results and editing can be carried out as a single, continuous workflow.

■ Improved screen layout (Screen dock function)
A new screen dock function allows the Point Cloud, TIN, DEM, RGB and Sectional windows to be arranged freely on screen. This makes it easier to work with several views at the same time — for example, checking the point cloud and the DEM side by side, or editing a cross section while looking at the TIN.

■ Batch Processing (Pro version)
A new batch processing function lets you register the processes you want to run as tasks and execute them automatically in order. You can apply a sequence of processes to a single file, or process several files in a folder at once, significantly improving efficiency when analyzing large numbers of files.

Beyond the above, this release also adds the Data Clip function and delivers improvements to the ground detection logic, faster data loading and editing, and a range of other additions and enhancements that improve day-to-day efficiency. We invite you to try the new DF LAT for yourself.
Customers who already hold a DF LAT license can update while continuing to use the same license.
Please note that because the DTM creation method differs from previous versions, processing the same data may produce different results. If a change in results would cause any inconvenience in your work, we recommend that you keep using the previous version alongside the new one, confirm the results, and then update.
