Signed an MoU with Kasetsart Universiy (Thailand) in the field of forest analysis

DeepForest Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kasetsart University on May 12, 2026, regarding collaboration in the fields of forest analysis and forest management.
This MoU aims to promote sustainable forest management and forest conservation through the development of forest analysis and monitoring technologies tailored to Thailand’s forest environments. Under this collaboration, the two parties will promote joint research and human resource development utilizing remote sensing and AI technologies.
DeepForest Technologies specializes in single tree-level forest analysis using drone imagery, including tree species identification, DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) estimation, carbon stocks estimation and so on.
Kasetsart University possesses extensive expertise, research networks, and field data collection systems in Thailand’s forestry sector. By leveraging the strengths of both parties, the collaboration will advance the development of practical technologies and research initiatives in the forestry field.
Strengths of Both Parties
Kasetsart University
• Expertise in Thailand’s forestry sector
• Wide network of researchers and students
• Access to local forest sites and field survey systems
• Capability for field data collection
• Academic knowledge and research achievements
DeepForest Technologies
• Forest analysis technologies utilizing drones
• AI-based single tree-level forest analysis
• Tree species classification and DBH estimation technologies
• Integrated analysis combining remote sensing and field data
Going forward, the two parties plan to explore the joint development of forest analysis models and monitoring methodologies for Thailand’s diverse forest ecosystems, including natural forests, plantations, and mangroves.
We will also discuss the potential application of these technologies in the fields of forest management and forest carbon credits.
In addition to conducting joint research projects, this collaboration will also explore the integration of field and remote sensing data, human resource development, implementation of training programs, and the sharing of research outcomes through international conferences and other academic activities.
This MoU is valid for three years from the signing date of May 12, 2026.
Specific activities and collaboration details will be discussed and considered through separate agreements and project-based discussions going forward.
DeepForest Technologies will continue contributing to the advancement of sustainable forest management and the improvement of transparency in forest carbon credits through the use of AI and remote sensing technologies for forest conservation.
