Completion of Series A Funding Round
DeepForest Technologies Co., Ltd. (CEO: Masanori Onishi), a startup developing advanced forest analysis technologies using drone and other remote sensing data to promote forest conservation and improve forest management efficiency worldwide, has raised approximately 200 million yen in a Series A funding round through a third-party allotment of shares. Investors include Environmental Energy Investment, Bio-Sight Capital & SBI Regional Revitalization Support, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Chushin Venture Capital, and Kyoshin Social Capital.
With this funding, we will accelerate the implementation of our technology in Japan and globally, further drive technological innovation, and develop comprehensive services that contribute to solving forest-related challenges and generating carbon credits to support the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
